Only wish there was more, will definitely do a bigger order of this next time. Piled high with tomatoes, mushrooms and pine nuts and flakes of goat. ![]() Ordered the Bruschetta, Hot and Crumbled Pie and Warm Cocoa Brownie.īruschetta ($13.50) - This was so delicious. Trying out all the pizza places on UberEats and here's my review for Fireside Pies. Pizza here is pricy, but like mentioned each one is two meals for anyone with a normal appetite. The salsa was unique to the point that it tasted more like a bruschetta topping, but it was very good. Well cooked, generous on the egg and chorizo and a very fresh avocado on top. As for brunch items, the Chorizo & Egg Quesadilla with Salsa was perfect. Adding jalapeno to combat the sweet of the pineapple was a wonderful idea. I disagreed and thought the combinations of flavors were outstanding. The person with the Hawaiian Pie gave it mixed reviews saying it had too much going on. Could only eat half so had the second half for dinner and the crust even stayed crisp for the rewarming. Its spicy flavor and smoked cheese made it far from an ordinary pizza. Among the pizzas it was the BBQ Chicken Pie that really stood out. Dip was much more flavorful than many I have had, and it is served with pieces of pizza dough (cooked of course), but it all made it feel like creating small pizzas. We had a baby with us so they were accommodating in putting us out of any busy path. Now, two more have opened - Mi Dia (Mexican) and Winewoods (American) - which have overcrowded the parking demand. When Fireside opened, it was only one of two restaurants on the site (the other is Bob's Chop House). (There are 2 and 4-top tables along a banquette, sort of "half-booths" but still comfy.) The only downside is parking. Almost all of the indoor seating is in booths, so it is pretty comfortable for just about any size party. ![]() You will see a lot of foot traffic and hear the restaurant's music from next door. ![]() The porch is adjacent to a small sidewalk that separates Fireside from the adjacent restaurant (Mi Dia). There is outdoor seating in a covered "three-season" porch, but we find seating inside is the best option. The pizza menu is not terribly extensive, but you can certainly modify anything on the menu and create your own. Salads are large, so if you order one it should be enough for two people. Fireside is a bit more of an upscale experience and is a nice spin on traditional pizzas. Grapevine (and Southlake) have an embrassament of riches when it comes to selecting a pizza place. ![]()
